Sign up for MTA Long Island Rail Road's email notifications and stay informed about issues impacting your commute.

Should a major service disruption take place, this service will send email alerts that will keep you updated until service returns to normal. This service will not give you the status of individual trains - such as whether the 5:36 pm train out of Penn Station is on time. The best way to find out that type of information remains calling our Travel Information Center or listening for announcements at stations or onboard our trains.

In addition, you will receive Service Advisories, which provide information about routine or planned service changes - ranging from new timetables to changes in your service due to a major construction project.

You can have the advisory sent to any device that has an email address - cell phones, pagers, mobile PDAs, etc.

If for any reason your email notifications are rejected, the you will dropped from the notification process. You may then sign up again with a working email address.
